Just when Liverpool thought they had fenced off interest in striker Luis Suarez, Spanish giants Real Madrid are now preparing to make a bid for the wantaway Uruguayan.
After Wednesday’s Champions League game against Fenerbache, Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger admitted that he has given up on pursuing Suarez and revealed that the potential deal was all-but dead, which was music to Liverpool fan’s ears, but unfortunately, they now have to be wary of Madrid.
Despite preparing to spend up to £94million for Tottenham winger Gareth Bale, it now looks like Madrid are ready to spend big in order to sign the 26-year-old striker, but it is believed that Liverpool will reject any offer that comes there way.
Reports have suggested that Madrid are willing to sell Karim Benzema to Arsenal for around £40million, which could mean they make a whopping bid for Suarez to replace the Frenchman, but as of yet, nothing official has been released.
The Reds are desperate not to lose their key-man especially with the transfer deadline day fast approaching, but if Madrid were to make a formal offer, it is thought that Suarez would push hard for a move to the Bernabeu after making it clear that he does not want to stay at Anfield.
