According to reports, Spanish giants Real Madrid are preparing to offer Liverpool £70million for striker and PFA Player of the Year, Luis Suarez.
The La Liga outfit wanted the Uruguayan last Summer when he first announced his intentions to leave Anfield, but since then, he remained at Liverpool and claimed he was finally happy enough to stay on at the club and experience a Champions League night with the fans.
After scoring 30-goals this season, Suarez has fired Liverpool to a top-four spot and could still win the Premier League if Manchester City drop points in their remaining three games, but with his good form, comes high interest, and Madrid are keen to reignite their interest in the frontman.
A source close to Madrid has made this statement about the Suarez saga: “Florentino Perez will just come and ‘swoosh’.
“He will prize Suarez away.
“He is their No 1 target.
“He ticks all the boxes and is easily the world’s best player behind Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi.”
The Spanish side are now considering whether they offer flat-out cash, or if they use Karim Benzema and/or Alvaro Morata as bait to tempt The Reds.
