Arsenal and Chelsea have been put on red alert with the news that the Colombian could be available.
Real Madrid are ready to sell on James Rodriguez, with Arsenal and Chelsea willing to take the player off their hands according to reports.
The Colombia international has been linked with a move from the Bernabeu for most of the summer and despite some reports claiming he was going nowhere, the latest news is that the Spanish club are now ready to cash in on him.
Several sides have registered an interest in him, with Arsenal and Chelsea keen to bring the 25-year old to England, while PSG are also believed to be keeping tabs on the situation.
Real Madrid want £65m
However, despite Rodriguez’s agent – Jorge Mendes – claiming that he can leave the Bernabeu this summer, the amount that Madrid want for the player’s signature is rather staggering.
The La Liga side reportedly want £65m for his services, which is a hefty sum for any team.
Arsenal have already missed out on several key targets this summer and they risk being priced out of a move for another one here. Chelsea could produce the funds needed but they may have to sell someone on to help fund some of the move.
So, while it does appear that the Colombian is available, it would take a large amount of money to lure him away from Spain.
