Madrid eager to make way for Sergio Aguero this summer
Real Madrid are ready to sell striker Karim Benzema this summer in order to make way for Manchester City’s Sergio Aguero.
According to Spanish media, bosses at the Bernabeu are planning on a deal to bring Aguero to Spain this summer. City are confident they keep hold of the 2014/15 Golden Boot winner, but Madrid are ready to offer big money to change their mind.
Not only will Madrid sell Benzema to make room for the Argentine, they are also looking for a big cash some to help fund the deal, with Arsenal favourites to land the star.
Top of the wish list
New Madrid boss Rafael Benitez has been given free will to chase new ‘Galacticos’ this summer, and City striker Aguero is apparently his no.1 target, along with Manchester United‘s David De Gea.
Aguero recently said on his future: “The truth is yes, I’m very happy.
“I’m enjoying these four years that I’ve had at City and there are still many more years to come. I’m very happy.”
He has a contract at City until 2019, having joined the club for £38million from Atletico Madrid in 2011.
