According to the latest reports, Real Madrid are preparing a huge bid for Borussia Dortmund’s Jadon Sancho.
The English winger has lit up the Bundesliga with his electrifying skills and astute playmaking abilities. Still only 19, Sancho has endless potential and could go for a record sum in the present market.
Whether Dortmund will be ready to sell remains to be seen but we have seen the German outfit part ways with Ousmane Dembele before. The Frenchman was regarded as the next best thing when he was with BVB but after his £120m move to Barcelona, his stock very quickly fell.
Real Madrid are going through a difficult patch, having lost their last La Liga fixture against Mallorca on Sunday. With that result, they have dropped below their rivals, Barcelona in the league standings and Zinedine Zidane does not look to have any immediate answers.
Of course, a transfer window of heavy spending could help answer some of their problems. Sancho is an extremely promising talent and he could give the Galacticos a bit of cutting edge in the final third. There hardly seems to be any love for Gareth Bale at the Santiago Bernabeu and the Welshman’s departure would open up an immediate vacancy on the right flank.
