Real Madrid continue to remain favourites to secure the signing of Radamel Falcao, according to The Daily Mail, despite there being strong interest from Premier League side Liverpool.

Madrid are to table a loan bid in the coming days for the Colombian striker, with a permanent move in the pipeline following thst loan deal, should it go through in the coming days or so.

But Real face stiff competition from Liverpool, who are ready to launch a bid to sign Falcao as a replacement for Luis Suarez, who joined Barcelona in a ÂŁ75 million fee last month, with Liverpool struggling to find a replacement for the controversial Uruguayan.

It appears thast replacement will not be Falcao, with the striker previously admitting that he would love to play for Real, despite signing for French Ligue 1 side Monaco from Atletico Madrid in a ÂŁ47 million fee in the summer of 2013.

However, despite Madrid’s interest, Monaco have slapped a ÂŁ60 million value onto the player, but a deal should still be tied up shortly, according to Marca, the Spanish Newspaper.

Should he complete the anticipated loan move, he will join fellow Colombian, and former Monaco and Porto team mate, James Rodriguez, who signed for Madrid in a ÂŁ60 million fee last month.
