They are the only clubs in the hunt for the player

Sergej Milinkovic-Savic garnered a reputation as one of the most talented young players on the planet by inspiring Serbia to victory at both the European Under-19 Championship, in 2013, and the Under-20 World Cup two years later. Then, after moving to Lazio in 2015, he justified the hype with a string of dynamic displays.

The midfielder joined the Serie A giants from the Belgian club Genk in the summer of 2015. He has been a mainstay in the midfield since joining them and has scored 17 goals from 94 appearances for the club.

The 23 year old was a regular for the club last season, scoring 14 goals and assisting 6 in 48 appearances in all competitions. He helped the team finish 5th in the league, just missing out on a Champions League place.

The Serbian is considered as the biggest star of his country right now and the coach was even sacked in order to ensure their star midfielder’s participation in this summer’s World Cup. He went on to play in all three of Serbia’s games.

He has attracted attention from clubs like Chelsea, Manchester United, Real Madrid, Juventus and AC Milan throughout this summer.

Real Madrid are ready to lock horns with Juventus in the battle to land Savic, reports Marca.

They are only ones who are in the hunt for the player as Premier League transfer deadline is over and Milan are no longer interested in signing him.

The Spanish side have made some impressive additions this summer like Thibaut Coutois, Vinicius Junior and Alvaro Odriozola but lost Cristiano Ronaldo, as he decided to leave the club after an extremely successful period with them.

They are still keen to bolster their squad and with Luka Modric’s future uncertain, they are targeting the Serbiaa International. Left-back Marcelo could also be involved in the deal.

The Turin side had one of the best transfer windows after landing the Portugal International, Leonardo Bonucci, Joao Cancelo etc. But they are still interested in adding more before transfer deadline.

The Italian side are willing to involve Miralem Pjanic in the deal.
