According to Spanish newspaper AS, Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti is keen to sign the young Belgian who is currently on his third loan spell with La Liga rivals Atletico
Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho has insisted that the promising Belgian will return to Stamford bridge at the end of the season, but the 21-year-old who is looking likely to be Belgium’s first choice goalkeeper at the World Cup this summer is reportedly unwilling to play second fiddle to Petr Cech.
Over the past three seasons, Courtois has established himself in one of the toughest leagues in world football and it looks like Real Madrid could be ready to battle Atletico, who also want to make his move permanent.
However according to AS, Atletico are willing to negotiate another season long loan with Chelsea for the keeper in order to prevent any move to the Bernabeu.
