They want to wrap it up before the World Cup

Real Madrid superstar Cristiano Ronaldo has been linked with a move away from the club this summer. He had a dispute over his wage with the club as he wanted an increase in his wages.

Paris Saint-Germain forward Neymar takes home ÂŁ30.5 million, while Messi earns a staggering ÂŁ39.5 million and the Portugal International wanted a pay rise similar to them

And it appears Ronaldo may be about to be granted his wish. AS are reporting that Los Blancos are ready to offer their talisman a new deal to highlight his importance. General Director Jose Angel Sanchez has told the forward of Madrid’s plan to reward him for his efforts with a huge pay rise.

Sources close to Real say the 33-year-old will earn around €30 million (£26.3 million) per year on his new terms, which is a significant increase on his current salary of €21 million (£18.4 million).

A further €2 million (£1.7 million) will be paid to Ronaldo in add-ons.

Though his new deal would not see his contract, which runs until 2021 – extended, according to the report. The club wants to wrap up the deal before he leaves for World Cup in Russia.

Ronaldo started the season slowly as the Spanish giants were left Behind in the La Liga but has hit his goal scoring form at the right time. He inspired the team to reach the semi finals of the Champions League after defeating Juventus on aggregate 4-3.
