According to reports from Marca, Luka Modric is on the brink of signing a new deal with Real Madrid. There were several reports linking the Croatia captain to a move to Inter Milan. However, Modric himself said a while back that he was willing to extend his stay at the Bernabeu.
Now, it seems like Modric will sign a new deal with Los Blancos soon. Luka Modric joined Real Madrid from Tottenham Hotspur on a transfer fee of £30 million. Since then, Modric has become an integral part of Real Madrid’s setup. The Croatian midfielder has played 290 matches for Los Blancos so far, scoring 16 goals and providing 45 assists. This season, Modric has made 33 appearances for the club, scoring 3 goals and providing 6 assists.
Modric’s current deal with the club expires in 2020. However, he has reportedly agreed terms with Real Madrid till the end of the 2020-21 season.
