According to David Ornstein, Manchester United is getting close to acquiring Lille defender Leny Yoro, who is scheduled to go to the UK to take part in a physical. While Yoro had been focusing on moving to Real Madrid, it now appears like he will be joining Manchester United.

Madrid only wants to sign Lille for nothing next summer when his contract ends or on the cheap this summer since they are unwilling to pay Lille’s asking price. Lille is eighteen years old. With 32 appearances in Ligue 1 last season, the French teenager is a player with a lot of potential who is already a vital member of his team.

Paris Saint-Germain and Liverpool have also expressed interest. For the Red Devils, who have agreed to pay their French counterparts £52 million to get one of the top teenage players in the world, this would be a major addition.

It is believed that Lille approved Manchester United’s €50 million (£42.2 million) offer for Yoro, despite Real Madrid’s strong opposition. United’s offer, on the other hand, included an upfront payment of €50 million (£42.2 million) and additional add-ons for €12 million (£10 million).

Yoro has reportedly come around to the notion of joining United, and he is now taking his family to Manchester to finalize his contract and finish his medical, according to The Athletic. After securing a £36.5 million deal for Joshua Zirkzee last week, Yoro will be United’s second summer acquisition.

Everton has previously rejected two offers from United for Branthwaite; the most recent offer was for £45 million plus an additional £5 million in add-ons.
