The 26 year old helped his team to reach the Champions League final where they faced Real Madrid. He was on target in the final against them but suffered a heartbreaking 3-1 defeat in Kiev.
He was linked with a move to the La Liga giants before the transfer window but the speculations faded away. But the rumours has resurfaced again as it is believed the club are in the market for attacking reinforcements for the upcoming season.
Cristiano Ronaldo has been heavily linked with a sensational switch to Juventus in the past few days, who responded to the rumours on Friday by releasing a statement revealing they are “evaluating several opportunities”.
Mane has acknowledged that the Spanish side are a great team but claimed that he had no contact with them over a potential transfer.
“These are just rumours. I am not aware of anything and haven’t been contacted,” he told reporters on a visit to his hometown of Bambali as quoted by Goal.
“I remain a Liverpool player and I will join my team-mates in the United States for the pre-season tour.
“Real are a great team, but I am focused on my team, Liverpool.”
