The player has been linked with an exit this summer

Real Madrid have made some impressive additions during the summer transfer window like Thibaut Coutois, Andriy Lunin, Vinicius Junior and Alvaro Odriozola. But they lost Cristiano Ronaldo, as he decided to leave the club after an extremely successful period with them.

They are yet to replace the Portugal International as questions have been raised over their transfer business. Mateo Kovacic has also left the club to join the Premier League giants Chelsea on a season long loan and Luka Modric also been linked with an exit.

The La Liga giants haven’t had a great start to the campaign as they were comprehensively beaten 4-2 by rivals Atletico Madrid in the Uefa Super Cup.

The Champions League winners have been linked with a move for players like Neymar, Kylian Mbappe, Harry Kane, Eden Hazard and Rodrigo throughout this summer but yet to reach any deal for any them. But they still have time to make some new additions before the transfer window closes.

Bayern Munich midfielder Thiago Alcantara is a target for Real Madrid in the next two transfer windows, according to Don Balon.

The Spain International joined German club from Barcelona for a reported fee of €25 million, signing a four year contract in 2013. He has developed himself as an integral part of the team and has won five Bundesliga titles in a row, as well as the DFB-Pokal, the DFL Super cup and the Club World Cup.

However, the 27 year old fell down the pecking order last season as there were lots of competition in the midfield. Still he managed to score 7 goals and assisted 2 in 32 appearances in all completions.

The player was also selected in the  Spain World Cup squad and featured in all of their matches. But they were surprisingly knocked out by Russia in the Round of 16.

The midfielder was linked with a return to his former club Barcelona this summer but that scenario is unlikely after the Catalan giants secure the signing of Arturo Vidal,

Julen Lopetegui wants to add Thiago, and Florentino Perez is willing to grant him that wish, possibly before the close of the summer window, though the president would prefer it to happen in January.
