Real Madrid’s offer of £100m plus three of their players for Neymar has been turned down by Paris Saint-Germain.
The Galacticos were ready to give up Gareth Bale, Keylor Navas and James Rodriguez in exchange for the Brazilian star. Neymar wants out of PSG and Real have jumped at the opportunity of stealing him away from rivals, Barcelona.
Of course, a reunion of Neymar, Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez at the Camp Nou seems more likely but Florentino Perez’s convincing powers cannot be ruled out just yet. PSG are also reluctant to sell to Barcelona without driving out the most value out of this sale.
Neither sides have been able to settle on an exact transfer fee even though an agreement to sign Neymar on an initial loan has been backed by both clubs. PSG are demanding an hefty transfer sum which would be made mandatory through a buy-back clause.
Neymar’s future at the Parc des Princes is very clearly over as the PSG fans turned on him last week. His desire to leave understandably has not sat well with the Parisians as they demonstrated their distaste for the Brazilian with abusive posters. Brazilian legend, Rivaldo said, “With Neymar wishing to leave PSG, it will be important that a transfer is complete before deadline day at the end of the month, after all, it would be tough for him to stay in France. He would have all the fans against him for a while and it’s never easy to be booed by your own club fans.”
The chances of Neymar ending up Real Madrid also seems a bit obscure at this point. The Galacticos signed Eden Hazard over the summer and it is currently unclear how, both the Belgian and Neymar will fit into their starting lineup.
