Redknapp believes Rodgers should stay in charge

Liverpool have had a difficult start to the week, losing 3-0 to rivals Manchester United and slipping to 11th in the table.

However proceedings were made slightly easier as the Reds cruised past Bournemouth in the Cpaital One Cup, to book their place in the semi-final.

And although Liverpool have been far off what they were last season, former Kop hero Jamie Redknapp believes the club would be mad to get rid of Brenden Rodgers and the boss shoudl be given time to turn the club’s fortunes around.

Redknapp told The Liverpool Echo“A few months ago Brendan was manager of the year and now look at the pressure he is under.

“I don’t think they should change him. That would be madness. I like Brendan, I think he is good.

“But he has made mistakes this season and he is suffering for them.

“It’s been humbling for him. He just needs to ride the storm but there will be no bigger test than this one here.”
