Reus rejects new Dortmund contract

German winger Marco Reus has reportedly turned down a new contract at Borussia Dortmund. 

The player has been subject of interest from various clubs for a lengthy amount of time now, but Dortmund manager Jurgen Klopp has insisted that Reus is not going anywhere. 

However, with the recent sale of Luis Suarez, Liverpool are on the hunt of rebuliding the squad with players capable of challenging for the Premier League title, with Reus being one of the targets that have been identified by Brendan Rodgers this summer. 

It is understood that Reus’ current deal at Dortmund ends in 2017, with the German club concerned by the fact that his ÂŁ27m release clause becomes active next summer.  

And now Reus has added more worry within the Dortmund camp, by repotedly turning down a new extension to keep him in Germany for another couple of years.

The German star has also been linked with Manchester United and Real Madrid, and was expected to subject of various offers this summer.
