The Blues lost 1-0 to City over the weekend, but that wasn’t the only problem
It was in the 35th minute when Alvaro Morata came off with a hamstring injury, but it’s what he said to Conte that has everyone curious.
The Spaniard had been in top form since joining over from Real Madrid this summer; prior to today’s game he had already found the net seven times in eight appearances.
However, the new number nine now looks set to miss at least a few weeks after this set back.
When quizzed about Morata’s injury by the media after the game, Antonio Conte has revealed what Morata told him to get substituted in the first half.
The Italian said “It’s a muscular problem. I don’t think it’s serious.
“He said to me, I prefer to stop myself otherwise I risk having a bad injury.
“The doctor will check the situation but I don’t think he’s available for the national team.”
