Bale is likely to be offloaded by Real Madrid this summer

Gareth Bale has been a frustrated figure this season as he is not getting first team football under Manager Zinedine Zidane as the Frenchman prefers Asensio and Isco ahead of him. The injuries also didn’t help him but since return to full fitness, he has found himself in the benches. He has just started 19 games this season and often sees his value called into question.

He was given a start against Juventus in the second leg of Champions League but was ineffective and substituted at the half time. This looks to suggest that his career at Madrid might be over.

Though the 28 year old would prefer a stay but Madrid wants to sell him this summer, as they are looking to add stellar signings this summer. They are already keeping tabs on Liverpool’s Salah.

Former Manchester United captain Rio Ferdinand has urged Manchester United to take the opportunity and sign him in the summer:

“For his talent, 100% [I would want him]. If you get him at a decent price, but talent-wise there’s not doubting this guy. But it’s just getting him out on the pitch every week is the problem. He hasn’t been able to do that, Ferdinand told BT Sport .

“He’s a huge talent. He’s had a bad season by all accounts from what they’re saying, their fans are disgruntled and not happy about him. He’s got 16 goals.

“In the Premier League, I’d love to see him here.”

Bale has scored 14 times and provided eight assists in 32 appearances for Real Madrid this season.
