Liverpool’s fierce rivals set to lodge a bid
Liverpool’s fierce rivals Manchester United are set to lodge a £25 million bid for want away star Raheem Sterling.
The England international has attracted interest from all around Europe after rejecting to sign a new contract, as well as telling the Reds‘ boss Brendan Rodgers that he wants to leave Anfield this summer.
Sterling‘s agent Aidy Ward has urged his client to move his career on to try and win some major trophies. However, several football fans and neutrals believe it is simply down to money.
Who is interested?
Real Madrid and Chelsea are the two big names that have been circulating around the media when it comes to interest in the winger.
BUT, according to reports in the Daily Mirror, United manager Louis van Gaal wants to shake up their rivals by attempting to sign Sterling.
Despite so much interest, Liverpool remain adamant that their player is not for sale, as he still has two years remaining on his current deal.
The 20-year old has scored 12 goals in 59 appearances in all competitions for both club and country this campaign; with more upcoming friendlies and Euro 2016 qualifiers to play for England.
