Arsenal defender Rob Holding insists the arrival of Unai Emery has brought a winning mentality at the Emirates.
Arsenal are currently flying high as they registered their seventh win on a trot against Watford in the Premier League. Following their back to back loss in the first two matches the Gunners have managed to shrug away their early season difficulties and have become more stable as a team.
An own goal from Hornets defender Craig Cathcart and Mesut Ozil’s cool finish gave the home side their fifth Premier League win. Holding was handed his first start in the league and the defender did his part very well as he shut off the Watford forward line very effectively.
Praising his manager Holding said, “He said when he came in that he wanted to bring a winning mentality and I think you get that from wins and you go into each game confident.
“We’re physically fit and we know that we can go and get the result. It was a really competitive and physical game and we knew that coming in.
“We just had to stand up to the battle and late on I think they tired and we managed to get a few passes together and score the goals.”
