Robbie Fowler thinks it would be a bit hard for Mohamed Salah to replicate last season’s form.
The Liverpool forward scored a staggering 44 goals last season as he single handedly demolished all the teams in the Premier League. His goal scoring traits also earned him the PFA Players’ Player of the Year and Football Writers’ Player of the Year awards.
But this season the player has been struggling as he is yet to hit the chord perfectly. The 26 year old has found the net just three times season and questions have been raised over his form.
Despite Liverpool’s stupendous start to the season Salah hasn’t been able to contribute profusely. Fowler feels the Egyptian international doesn’t have to wait much for goals but he has doubts whether he would be able to recall his form or not.
“I think he’ll still score goals, I think he’ll still score a lot of goals.
“What I like about Mo Salah is that his work ethic is brilliant, he doesn’t shy away from anything. What I would be more worried about is if he wasn’t getting chances.
“He will bang the goals in. I’m not sure he’ll hit the heights he did last year but he is still a magnificent player. He will still be a danger throughout the Premier League [season].”
