Man United’s pursuit of the midfielder has been given a major boost
Roberto Firmino’s agent confirmed his client will play in the Premier League next season, with Manchester United favourites to sign him.
The Brazil playmaker currently plays in the Bundesliga with Hoffenheim, and has been heavily linked with a move to Old Trafford.
Some reports have claimed that a fee has been agreed between United and the German club.
Liverpool have also been linked with the 23 year old in recent weeks, but Louis van Gaal‘s team are the front runners in the race to snap up the playmaker.
His agent Roger Wittmann would not confirm the player’s next destination, but did reveal Firmino is Premier League bound.
“All I can say is that he will move to England,” he told German newspaper Bild.
Firmino is currently representing Brazil at the Copa America in Chile, and his performances last season not only earned himself international recognition, but interest from Europe’s elite.
He scored ten goals to help Hoffenheim finish 8th in the league.
