According to Dutch legend Ronald De Boer Van Persie has become uneasy with his role and disillusioned with life at Old Trafford under the management of David Moyes
Persie who has in recent games been showing signs of displeasure has not only lashed out at his team mates but has hinted at a move away from his current club.
However, this has all been the subject of speculation.
De Boer believes Van Persie is wanting world class players ‘Robin feels that, unless there is investment in new, young, great players from other clubs, then he will move on,’ said De Boer.
‘Van Persie wants to compete for trophies and everything this year looks out of sight.’
‘It’s very disappointing for a player of his quality. I don’t think he’s enjoying the football United are playing.’
De Boer, who is currently manager of Ajax’s youth system, knows Van Persie well through friends and family connections.
Van Persie has been linked with a move away from United in recent weeks, with Real Madrid, Barcelona and former club Arsenal all keen.
