According to Manchester United boss David Moyes, star-striker Robin Van Persie is so important to the club that he can now decide whether or not he feels he’s fit enough to play in a match.

Speaking ahead of their trip to Stoke City, Moyes admitted that the striker is so vital to the club’s success that the player himself actually decides whether or not he is feeling fit enough to feature.
“I have taken Robin’s advice where he feels he is at,” Moyes said. “I ask him if he is ready to play and how long does he feel he is able to play.
