Striker thinks Manchester United will spend big again

Manchester United star Robin Van Persie expects the club to spend nearly £200million yet again this Summer despite spending over £150m last year.

The Red Devils are undergoing a transaction period since Sir Alex Ferguson‘s retirement, and after David Moyes‘ failed tenure, it’s now Louis Van Gaal who is leading the club and he’s ready to spend big yet again.

The Dutchman spent over £150m last Summer, on signings such as; Angel Di Maria, Luke Shaw, Daley Blind and Marcos Rojo, and according to Van Persie, it could be another expensive Summer.

Van Gaal has reportedly been financially backed yet again by the club’s board, and Van Persie admits that he could see another £200m being spent on new recruits this Summer.

RVP Expects Signings

‘United spent £200m on players last year and they are going to spend another £200m this summer so we will have a team that can compete for the title,’ he told the Mirror.

It could be a busy Summer for Van Persie himself, who is being strongly linked with a move to Serie A, and he spoke about his own future claiming he just wants to play as regularly as possible.

Van Persie Leaving United?

‘It is my ambition to play as many games as possible. I feel fitter than ever,’ he said.

‘And I know that the more games I play, the more it will help me prepare for the European Championships next summer.

‘I will take everything into consideration when I decide on my future and I know I have to be realistic about the situation.’

Interested Parties

Lazio, AS Roma and Juventus are all reportedly keen on the striker.
