Champions League finalists eyeing move for Dutch striker
Manchester United’s Robin Van Persie could be heading to Serie A this summer, with Juventus registering an interest in the striker.
Van Persie‘s career at Old Trafford took off in style after notching 26 league goals in his debut season as the Red Devils lifted the Premier League trophy in what turned out to be Sir Alex Ferguson‘s final year as boss.
United Struggles
And since then, under David Moyes and more surprisingly Louis Van Gaal, Van Persie has been unable to recreate his goal-scoring form and fitness over the last two campaigns.
Juventus Interest
Juventus were also chasing the Dutchman’s signature in 2012 before he joined United, and look set to rekindle their interest in the 31-year old again this summer.
It could work out as a deal which suits both parties as United look to build a squad capable of challenging in the Champions League next season over the summer, and Juventus looking to add to their plethora of current attacking options.
