Rodgers dismisses dressing room unrest rumour

Liverpool boss Brenden Rodgers has hit back against the claims that there is unrest in the Reds’ changing rooms, labelling them “totally untrue”.

Stories have been reported that there is a divide in the squad, with key players supposedly blaming one another.

Following his side’s 3-0 defeat to rivals Manchester United, Rodgers did admit there are always issues but went on to say: â€śIt is not something I discuss outside the dressing room… we have to recapture the team ethos.”

Now in the build-up to his side’s Capital One Cup trip to Bournemouth, Rodgers has insisted the mood in the dressing room is positive and the team chemistry is as strong as ever.

“Our dressing room is very strong – we are very fortunate we have got a captain who is a strong leader in dressing room and it’s something that’s been very important in my time here,” he explained.

“Talk of unrest is totally untrue. Of course they not happy not winning games, these are competitive players who almost won the league last year, so they won’t be happy because they are so competitive. But our spirit is very strong, and once we get a break, just get that little bit of luck to turn things, we will show that.”
