Rodgers misses out on Galatasaray job

The ex-Liverpool boss was linked with the hotseat at the Turk Telekom Arena.

Brendan Rodgers will not be the next Galatasaray manager.

The ex-Liverpool and Swansea boss was linked with the job but the club have instead handed the reigns to Mustafa Denizli, who becomes their manager for the third time.

It means that Rodgers’ wait for another management role continues, with Aston Villa also appointing Remi Garde over him and Blackburn choosing to go with Paul Lambert instead of the 42-year old.

QPR searching for new manager

It doesn’t mean he has missed out on his chance to go straight back into the game though – QPR are still looking for a manager and he is one of the favourites for the job.

Garry Monk is also under pressure at Swansea and if he ends up losing his job, don’t rule out a return to Wales for Rodgers.
