Brendan Rodgers has said that he expects Celtic to fight against Rangers at Ibrox.

The Hoops are set to take on their arch-rivals in the Old Firm Derby this weekend.

Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers has said that he expects his team to be up for the battle in their next match at Ibrox. The Hoops are set to take on arch-rivals Rangers in the Old Firm Derby this weekend. It would also decide who ends the year at the top of the table with Celtic currently leading the race by three points.

Speaking to the media on the eve of the crucial clash, the former Liverpool manager said, “This game gives us another opportunity – and we always focus on playing the game.”

He added, “That’s why we have always played so well in these games, whether at Ibrox or Hampden. So it’s the same mantra – take composure into the game. There is no more or less pressure in this fixture. We always play with pressure. The players deal with it, they regulate it. We will look to perform how we have always done. It’s down to temperament. When we came into the club, we spoke a lot with the players to develop the personality to play for a big club like Celtic. The pressure is on in every game. It’s never more or less. You have to win every game. What we’ve tried to help them with is how to regulate that pressure. You do that by focusing on your performance.”
