Oriol Romeu has signed a season long loan deal with German Bundesliga side Stuttgart, reports Chelsea’s official club website.
Romeu, aged 22, who recently penned a new three year deal at Chelsea has been sent out on loan for the second successive campaign, as Jose Mourinho looks to give his young players first team football elsewhere.
The German top flight club struggled for form last season, finishing 15th in the Bundesliga and spending much of the season in a relegation battle.
Romeu signed for Chelsea from Barcelona in the summer of 2011, and has made 33 appearances for the Stamford Bridge outfit to date, spending last season on loan at Spanish La Liga side Valencia.
