Cristiano Ronaldo has been charged by UEFA for his controversial celebration in the match against Atletico Madrid.

The Juventus star mocked Diego Simeone by mimicking his “cojones” celebration that he did during the first leg of the round of 16 matchup against the Bianconeri.

Juventus forward Cristiano Ronaldo has been charged by UEFA for his controversial celebration in the match against Atletico Madrid. The Portuguese superstar scored a superb hat-trick against Diego Simeone’s side in the second leg of the matchup to overturn a 2-0 deficit from the first leg and get his side over the line by 3-2. After scoring the second goal, the former Real Madrid player allegedly mocked the Argentine manager by mimicking his “cojones” celebration that he did after his side beat the Bianconeri by 2-0 in their own backyard.

A statement from the Disciplinary Body read, “Disciplinary proceedings have been opened following the UEFA Champions League round of 16 match between Juventus Football Club and Club Atletico de Madrid, played on March 12 in Italy.”

It also said, “Charges against Juventus Football Club: Improper conduct of player Cristiano Ronaldo.”
