Massimiliano Allegri has said that Cristiano Ronaldo is not everything at Juventus.

The Bianconeri are set to take on Atletico Madrid in their Champions League matchup.

Juventus manager Massimiliano Allegri has insisted that Cristiano Ronaldo is not everything at the club. The Portuguese superstar has been in stellar form for the Bianconeri in all competitions this season and has made a vital contribution with 21 goals and 12 assists since making his move from Real Madrid in summer.

Speaking to the media ahead of their round of 16 matchup against Atletico Madrid, the Italian gaffer said, “We are not obliged to win just because we have Cristiano, we must also work hard all over the pitch and have our share of luck, which is also important.”

He added, “Having him is an advantage, but it’s not all about Ronaldo. We have to remember we are facing a team who are very good in defence and very dangerous from set pieces and have done very well in Europe in recent years.”

Ronaldo has scored 22 times against Atletico so far, including a hat-trick in the Champions League semifinal first leg in 2017 and a penalty goal in 2014 final. He also scored the winning penalty for Los Blancos against Los Rojiblancos to win the Champions League trophy in 2016.
