Juventus star Cristiano Ronaldo said that his former side Manchester United did not deserve the win yesterday and Juventus should have easily won the game. Juventus suffered their first defeat of the season by losing 2-1 to Manchester United at home. Ronaldo gave Juventus the lead in the 65th minute through a brilliant goal. However, a goal from Juan Mata and an own goal from Alex Sandro sealed the win for the Red Devils.
Even though Ronaldo was pleased with his team’s performance, he thought that Juventus should have won by a big margin. The Portuguese forward said, “I have seen the replay in the dressing room. I didn’t realise it was a fantastic goal, but I did good movement and I kick with the ball strong. I was happy for the goal but we are a little disappointed because we should have won the game easily, by three or four goals. Manchester, they didn’t do much, in my opinion. They created two chances, set pieces, I know the English teams they are always looking for the set pieces. But we will learn from our mistakes and we are still top of the group so we are good.”
Despite the defeat, Juventus lead their Champions League group. Their next match is a Serie A fixture against AC Milan on Sunday.
