Manchester United legend, Cristiano Ronaldo, won’t be returning to Old Trafford in his career, according to the star’s agent.

In recent years, Ronaldo has been strongly linked with a return to England and a return to United, but Jorge Mendes has confirmed that he expects his client to retire at the Bernabeu.

The 29-year-old has risen even further up the football chain since moving from United to Madrid, and with the Ballon d’Or in his sights, the Portuguese star keeps improving year after year.

When asked about his client’s future and whether United are in it, Mendes said: ‘I believe that Cristiano will finish his career at Real Madrid. He’s happy at the club and is still keen to achieve more success in Madrid.’

This means United will most likely put all their attentions into signing Ronaldo’s team-mate, Gareth Bale.

Louis Van Gaal is keen on signing the Welshman, and according to reports, will willingly pay up to £120million for the former-Tottenham Hotspur star.
