Czech Republic midfielder unimpressed by Arsene Wenger’s treatment

Arsenal’s Czech midfielder Tomas Rosicky has slammed manager Arsene Wenger over his treatment last season.

The 34-year-old featured sporadically at the Emirates Stadium in the 2014/15 campaign, having been frozen out of the first-team fixture.

Rosicky considered departing north London in the January transfer window – but was given a number of games in the starting eleven, to prove his worth to Arsene Wenger.

Having signed from Borussia Dortmund in May 2006 – Rosicky is one of the club’s more seasoned members, having racked up over 170 appearances in his nine-years.

Unhappy Tomas:

Despite his prolonged stint at Arsenal, Rosicky was confined to the substitutes bench for most of the season, featuring on 18 occasions, netting the three times.

Arsenal opted to extend Rosicky’s deal in May, and the player feels he has been cast adrift in the Gunners ranks, since penning a new deal.

“Since the moment Arsene Wenger ‘used’ the option in my contract, I haven’t even been on the bench.

“I am laughing but it’s not funny.
