Russell Martin said “We let the manager down”. Chris Hughton’s job maybe in question after the awful 7-0 loss to Manchester City. Martin said that now is the time to show the premier league what Norwich City has got after they let themselves and the manager down at the loss to the manchester side yesterday. The canaries embarrasing loss lead them to the relegation zone. The norfolk team have received just eight point from their last ten games which leaves the manager along with the Fulham manager as possible sackings.

Russell Martin said: “It hurts – simple as that. It’s humiliating.”

“We’ve let ourselves down and we’ve let the manager down. There is going to be a lot of soul-searching and conversation about this game, analysing it and going through. We will see what we are made of now for next week.”

“We have got the characters in the dressing room. It is a good dressing room, a confident dressing room. We believe we are good enough to be in this league. Next week we will see what we are really made of.”

Norwich’s next feature is a home game against West Ham and they need to improve their game. Within the first half David Silva, Matija Nastasic & Alvaro Negredo were on the scoresheet and this was a horror show for keeper John Ruddy. After Joe Hart being dropped by Manuel Pellegrini this was the perfect opportunity for Ruddy to impress international manager Roy Hodgson however after a result like that he pretty much did the opposite which left England manager in a sticky situation with the main keeper not playing and the second keeper getting results like that.

Despite all the goals conceded the england international still made 3 good saves for the canaries.

Russell Martin said: “I just don’t know where that performance has come from, because even thought we haven’t been picking up results lately we’ve been playing okay in bits and bobs. The whole team just wern’t good enough from start to finish. We had a little bit of misfortune with the first two goals but after that we totally capitulated and that’s not like us.”
