Dutchman’s transfer all but finalised over fee

The pending transfer of striker Robin Van Persie to Turkish giants Fenerbahce S.K. remains up in the air as a fee has yet to be finalised.

The Dutch international was unveiled to thousands of fans after completing a medical in Istanbul on Sunday after agreeing to a three year deal.

Manchester United do not expect a large sum for 31 year old, who turns 32 in three weeks time, a fee in the region of £5million has been floating around for the Dutchman who notched 10 goals last season.

United in the hunt for RVP replacement.

Fenerbache’s acquisition of Robin Van Persie gives Manchester United an opportunity to find a replacement striker with many high profile names making headlines.

United could be tempted to try prize Edinson Cavani from French giants Paris St Germain, whilst most recently Robert Lewandowski could follow former teammate Bastian Schweinstieger to Old Trafford.

Van Persie’s imminent departure leaves Louis Van Gaal with only one fit senior striker in Wayne Rooney so a new forward is top of the Dutchman’s wishlist.
