According to reports, Robin van Perise is growing frustrated at his lack of game time at Fenerbahce.

The Dutchman arrived at the Turkish club last summer from Manchester United for a reported £3.84million, but has struggled to hold down a regular first-team spot.

The 32-year-old striker has played a full 90 minutes for Fenerbahce just twice in the Super Lig this term, despite his return of 14 goals so far.

Chelsea were reportedly interested in bringing the former Arsenal and United frontman back to the Premier League during the January transfer window.

The English champions instead opted to sign Alexandre Pato, but they could be tempted to renew their interest in the unsettled striker in the summer when Pato’s loan deal expires.

Speaking to Fanatik, van Persie said:

“Fenerbahce paid a big transfer fee for me so I want to help the team.”

“But I cannot contribute as much as I want when I am taken off each game. I cannot be efficient like this. We have to find a solution for this situation.”
