Arsene Wenger makes bold claim about Norwich City defender
Arsene Wenger thinks Ryan Bennett could have killed Alexis Sanchez when he pushed him into the camera pit during Sunday’s game at Carrow Road.
The Norwich centre-back visibly pushed Alexis into a camera pit which is located just off the pitch, and Wenger believes the Chilean could have been in serious trouble and was lucky to escape with no injury, and apparently his life.
Bennett after the game claimed he didn’t intentionally push Alexis into the cameraman, but Wenger thinks otherwise and believes his star-man could have been killed in the incident.
Wenger Makes Bold Claim
“First of all it’s dangerous to have a camera there,” Wenger said.
“He could’ve killed him. He didn’t need to push like he did. I think the camera position was absolutely dangerous.”
The Canaries centre-back tweeted the following after the game claiming his innocence in the incident: “Genuinely was trying to stop not push Sanchez just to clear that up.”
Luckily for Wenger, Alexis didn’t get killed or even injured in the saga, however he did pull his hamstring later on in the match and is now sidelined for around three weeks.
