Moyes is already committed to a frenzied spell of high-stakes transfer activity – now Sunday Express Sport can reveal that big changes could be on the way on his coaching staff.

Despite denials, there has been a falling out between Moyes and Ryan Giggs with the 40-year-old Welshman believed to be considering his Old Trafford future once the season ends.

Moyes promoted Giggs on to his coaching staff after succeeding Sir Alex Ferguson but there have been some heated exchanges between the pair over some of the training methods and tactics.

Giggs also believes he has been under-used, especially when the club have been up against it and in need of some uplifting results.

Some disgruntled fans have called for Moyes to be dismissed and replaced by Giggs until the end of the season.

There are also long-term doubts over Phil Neville’s future as first-team coach alongside assistant manager Steven Round.

It’s believed the relationship between Moyes and the former Manchester United player he brought with him from Everton isn’t as strong as it once was.

Moyes will take stock of his backroom staff in the summer and is expected to make changes.

The 50-year-old Scot still enjoys the backing of the club’s owners, the Glazers, former boss Ferguson, influential director Sir Bobby Charlton and executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward.

He will work closely with Woodward during a summer which will make or break his Old Trafford tenure.
