Ryan Sessegnon has claimed he never wanted to leave Fulham. The youngster had been scouted by a number of top clubs in the summer but he preferred to remain at Craven Cottage.
The teenager has been a sensation since his induction to the senior team when he broke into the scene in 2016. Slavisa Jokanovic felt the urge of testing him on the big stage and since then the youngster never looked back.
He has gone onto establish himself as the preferred choice and his versatility has helped heavily as the gaffer has used the teenager in a number of positions this term. He may not have the same impact in the Premier League this season, but the player definitely has the potential to be one of the best in the business.
Sessegnon said, “I was always going to stay [at Fulham]. I was always focused on staying and playing for Fulham.
“It’s the one club I know. I feel very comfortable at Fulham at the moment, and just minutes on the pitch. I just wanted to play.
On being asked about his relationship with the Cottagers boss he replied, “We have a good relationship, I have been working with him since I was 16 so we have built a good relationship till now and he helps me a lot.
“I think you can see that from my debut season till now, I think I’ve improved and that’s purely down to him and the faith and confidence he’s shown in me.
The game time [he’s given me]. He believes in me and I repay him with good performances.”
