Saints double duo’s wages to fend off interest from other clubs

The players will be heavily monitored by a number of Premier League clubs with the view of making a bid in the summer.

With Arsenal known to be keen on signing Schneiderlin and Clyne attracting the interest of Manchester United and Liverpool.

The French midfielder currently earns ÂŁ30,000 at the south coast club but he is set to have his wages doubled in a deal thought to last until 2017.

Meanwhile Clyne is also set to have wage doubling, leaving him on ÂŁ50,000 a week in he signs.

Ronald Koeman’s side travel to league leaders Chelsea on Sunday, which will be a test of their top four credentials, with Liverpool, Spurs, United and Arsenal all battling for a place.
