Chelsea are facing an up-hill battle to keep winger Mohamed Salah at the club, as he could be forced to return home to do more Military service.
If he is ordered back to Egypt, it would be a real blow for Chelsea’s title hopes, and of course his own professional footballing career.
Salah could be confined to the North African country for up to three years, should he be required by the Army.
The winger is allowed to live in England on the basis of an Educational programme, but his current papers are swiftly running out, with Chelsea locked in negotiations with the Egyptian FA, and Army.
Egyptian National Team director Ahmed Hassan told kingfut.com “Salah has expressed his shock about the decision,”
“He told me that he is trying to represent Egypt in the best way possible. Is this the best response from the country?”
