West Ham United manager Sam Allardyce has been informed that he will not be offered a new contract with the East-London club, according to the Telegraph.

Allardyce’s future at Upton Park has come under question in recent weeks, with the Upton Park outfit set to part ways with the 60-year-old once his current deal expires at the end of this current Premier League season.

The former Bolton Wanderers and Blackburn Rovers manager has been an unpopular figure amongst some fans, despite leading them to promotion back to the top-flight in May 2012, before helping them to sustain their status in the league.

West Ham currently sit in eighth position in the Premier League, and the owners of the club, David Sullivan and David Gold, pondering approaches for both David Moyes and Slaven Bilic linked with the Hammers, should Allardyce depart.

Vice-chairwomen, Karren Brady, has confirmed that talks with Allardyce have been put on hold until May, with West Ham unlikely to offer him a new deal.

She wrote in The Sun: “Sam Allardyce knows there will be no contract talks with him until the end of the season.

“That is the way this West Ham board have always done it, that is what we’ve agreed with Sam – and that’s exactly the way we did it the last time his contract expired.
