Liverpool have already wrapped up a deal to sign Chile winger Alexis Sanchez, according to Reds legend Phil Thompson.
Sanchez, who is also on Arsenal’s radar, is highly expected to leave this summer after falling out with new Barcelona manager Luis Enrique. According to Thompson, he will end up at Anfield come the end of the transfer window.
‘What will happen to Luis Suarez in the future? Is he angling for a move? Who knows,’ he said during a discussion on transfer, ‘just yesterday I heard things from people, newspaper guys who are very close to the ground at Liverpool, saying that the Sanchez deal was actually done.’
Barcelona have put a £27million price tag on Sanchez, and Liverpool scouts are thought to be closely watching him play at the World Cup in Brazil.
