Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri has said that the Blues are a team in shock after their defeat against Leicester City. The Blues faced a loss at the hands of the Foxes by 1-0 at Stamford Bridge, making it their third loss of the season. Jamie Vardy scored the only goal of the match after the visitors retaliated in the second half after they being outplayed in the first half by the hosts.
Sarri said that his team reacted strangely to the goal, “We played very well for 55 minutes. We played good football. It was a strange reaction to the goal,” he added, “It wasn’t right. We reacted as 11 different players, not a team. We could have done better. We only had to play as we did in the first part of the match.
The Italian gaffer also said, “There was time to score. We were a team in shock, in mental confusion.”
Speaking about why the reactions happened, the manager confessed that he was unsure of the reason. He said, “I don’t know why these reactions happen. If I knew I’d have solved it before the game.” He added, “It’s difficult to understand. We have players with lots of experience. I was very pleased with the first half. We conceded nothing to our opponents. We didn’t react well.”
