Midfielder wouldn’t mind linking back up with Koeman
Manchester United midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin is reportedly open to linking up with old boss Ronald Koeman at Everton this summer.
Koeman left Southampton to replace Roberto Martinez as Toffees boss earlier this month.
The Dutchman has identified Everton’s midfield as an area for improvement this summer, with Gareth Barry reaching the end of his career and doubts remaining over Muhamed Besic, James McCarthy and Tom Cleverley.
Koeman has been linked with a move to bring Schneiderlin with him to Goodison Park, and now it’s being claimed the Frenchman is open to a move to Merseyside.
Schneiderlin, who is currently at Euro 2016 with France, worked with Koeman for a season at Southampton.
The 26-year-old left St Mary’s last summer and moved to Man United in a £24million deal.
But he failed to cement his place in the starting line-up under Louis van Gaal and could be on the move again this summer.
