Andre Schürrle has rubbished reports linking him with a move away from Chelsea, despite finding first team opportunities at the club limited.

The German international arrived back at the club late, after being part of the side that won the World Cup in Brazil in the summer, and combined with injuries, the forward has found game time hard to come by.

As a result of this, reports have circulated linking the former Schalke man with a move away from Stamford Bridge. But, the 24 year-old has moved to deny any rumours.

The winger stated on his blog, “In a phase with less playing time, transfer rumours are always coming up.

“Since my transfer in 2013, the long season (here there are no winter breaks), the great World Cup and the short pre-season, I’ve only had a little time to relax in between.

He then added “Of course this quickly brings media to speculate about a transfer. But this is not an issue for me.

“I feel comfortable here and would not think of such a thing!”

The £18 million man featured in 30 games last term, but has only appeared in eight of Chelsea’s 16 Premier League games this campaign, however would like to stay at the club for the foreseeable future.
