Everton defender Seamus Coleman has showered praises on Marco Silva insisting the manager’s influence is improving players’ performance this season.
Silva has overseen things since his arrival at Goodison Park and has been trying to implement his strategy with sheer perfection. The signing of some useful names with the likes of Yerry Mina, Richarlison and Andre Gomes has eased his work a bit and results have been pretty encouraging so far.
Despite losing the Merseyside derby in the last gasp goal the Toffees will be full of positives when they take on Newcastle United in midweek. They are currently sitting in the seventh position and a win would help them in closing the gap with Tottenham Hotspur who sits ahead of them.
Coleman said, The manager is a positive character who gets his point across very well.
“Out on the training pitch he is very intense and he improves people’s games. I don’t know how he does it but he has this knack of improving you.
“He gives you that belief to play with freedom.
“It has taken us a little bit if time for us all to adapt but I feel like the manager has got the players in that he has wanted and we are starting to show positive signs. Everyone is really enjoying it.”
