Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini has dismissed reports linking striker Sergio Aguero with a move to Spain in order to join giants Real Madrid.

The Argentine striker has shown lethal form so far this season, firing in 10-goals in the Premier League which has seen him become the league’s top goalscorer, above Liverpool duo Daniel Sturridge and Luis Suarez.

It has been reported in Spain that the 25-year-old will be the club’s big transfer target next Summer and it is thought that Cristiano Ronaldo has actually pleaded with the club’s board to go out and sign the Argentine.

Aguero was continously linked with a move back to Spain this Summer as well, but he remained at the Etihad Stadium, and he has admitted himself that he is happy in Manchester and is refusing to listen to any paper speculation.

After watching his side ease past Swansea City yesterday, Pellegrini then confirmed the news that Aguero is going nowhere.

‘I don’t know anything about that. I don’t think Sergio wants to leave. That is not a problem for us. I don’t believe in that.’
